Its Fantasy Football Time!!!!

Well, tis another season and i am getting ready to fire up this years championship team in my fantasy football league! I have the number 2 pick this year and i am torn between Michael Turner and Drew Brees. i am pretty sure Adrian is going number 1. I am a little nervous to let Brees go. This could be a break out season. A healthy New Orleans team, with an offense thats suppose to be even more explosive this year.... is scary.

I would love to hear what others have to say about this years season and your sleeper picks if your playing. Good luck to all and stay tuned to future posts on how iam doing in the league this year.

Are you ready for some football!!!

Best of Luck,

Recovery?

Stretch! How many athletes take the time to focus on regeneration and flexibility? I know that i work with many high school athletes, and 9 out of 10 athletes are extremely tight! I stress the importance to take the time to focus on recovery, because to many athletes are getting injured. Your no good to anyone on the sidelines due to an injury.

Take a minute and evaluate the time you spend working out, practicing, games, or any other physical activities you participate in and compare that to the time you take in recovery or regenerating the body from those physical stresses. Do you get the point?

It takes minutes a day, and what a huge response your body will give you when you do. Regeneration is just as important as getting after it. Implement time or even days in your training program to recover. It will make a world of difference and could save your season from a devastating injury that leaves you watching, instead of cracking heads.

Recover,
Coach Luck

"The Band Man"

Two weeks ago i attended the Ryan Lee Bootcamp in Connecticut, and met some amazing people. One sticks out in my head the most though. Dave Schmitz, Other wise known as the "The Band Man"! I got to talk to Dave about EliteFooballTraining.com and how i implement bands into my training and how beneficial they have been with my athletes. Dave gave a demonstration at the bootcamp on how he uses his bands and it gave me a real eye opening experience in how i could further integrate them into our training programs. After talking with him afterward, he agreed in sharing some of his techniques with the Elite family. So i am excited to say that i will be posting some of Dave's great articles on the site soon. I highly recommend in checking them out and implementing some of his techniques into your training programs. Bands add such a variety and intensity to any exercise. Stay tuned for more band training info in future blogs. Until then, stay strong and keep those legs pumping!
